What to expect
ARRIVAL, safety briefing and getting settled
Your adventure starts at the Swakopmund Airport drop zone. Arrive via your own transport or via our courtesy pickup from your accommodation.
After a quick check-in and safety paperwork, you’ll meet your tandem instructor, who’ll guide you through a detailed briefing. Watch other jumpers land, soak in the atmosphere, and get ready to experience the thrill of skydiving.
GEARING UP, MEETING THE ANGEL AND TAKING FLIGHT
Your certified tandem instructor—backed by hundreds of jumps— will get you suited up. Every harness and safety check is done thoroughly, no shortcuts.
Then comes the walk to our striking yellow aircraft, “The Angel,” with its hand-painted phoenix and angel. Climb aboard and enjoy a short flight over the breathtaking Namib Desert, capturing epic views before the ultimate jump.
ASCENDING IN THE ANGEL AND GETTING READY TO JUMP
As “The Angel” climbs, panoramic views unfold—the Namib Desert merging into the Atlantic Ocean, sometimes draped in dramatic low-hanging fog. Inside, the plane buzzes with excitement.
The anticipation builds with every passing second, and soon the doors open for you and your instructor to leap into the ultimate freefall adventure.
FREEFALL, PARACHUTE TIME AND POST-JUMP HIGHS
At your chosen altitude, the door opens and you dive into the sky—30, 45, or 60 seconds of pure freefall. Then the chute opens, and the world goes quiet. Glide above Swakopmund, steering the parachute if you like, soaking in desert and ocean views.
Landing is smooth, adrenaline still high, with high-fives and endless smiles. Back at the club area, celebrate with drinks, pizza and let the post-jump buzz sink in.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR TANDEM SKYDIVING
MINIMUM AGE: 10 years old (anyone under 21 requires parental consent).
MAXIMUM AGE: None! Skydiving is for the young at heart—age is just a number.
WEIGHT LIMIT: 95kg
MEDICALLY FIT: You should be in general good health. If you have any medical concerns, please check with your doctor first.
WEATHER & RESCHEDULING POLICY
Swakopmund generally offers fantastic jumping conditions year-round. Occasionally, low-lying mist or strong winds may require a reschedule. In these cases, we’ll book you for the next best available day. If the new date doesn’t work for you, a full refund will be provided.
DEPOSIT & PAYMENT INFORMATION
Payment is made on the day of your jump, before takeoff—unless you booked through a third-party agency. We accept EFT, cash, and card payments. No deposit is required, so you can book and relax knowing everything is taken care of.
FAQs
CAN I JUMP WITH GLASSES OR CONTACT LENSES?
Yes! You’ll wear secure goggles that fit over your glasses or contact lenses.
CAN I BREATHE IN FREEFALL?
Absolutely! The wind rush might feel intense, but you can breathe normally throughout the freefall and parachute glide. Our instructors remind you to relax and enjoy every second of the experience.
Will I get Motion Sickness?
Motion sickness is rare during a tandem skydive. Most people feel the opposite—pure adrenaline and excitement. If you’re prone to motion sickness, a light meal and staying hydrated beforehand can help.
What if I'm afraid of heights?
Feeling nervous is completely normal! Our certified tandem instructors are experienced at guiding first-timers. You’re securely harnessed, and the jump is fully controlled—so you can focus on the thrill while staying safe. Many jumpers find the fear turns into pure exhilaration once they leap.
Can I take my own Go Pro?
Unfortunately, no. For safety reasons, only licensed skydivers with 200+ jumps are allowed to jump with equipment.
Can I take my phone or camera on the plane?
No, personal cameras and phones aren’t allowed on board for safety reasons. The video packages also offer stills and include breathtaking footage of the plane ride and surrounding landscapes. See the camera option videos above for more detail.
Can we book one camera man for two people?
No. The camera man can only focus on one tandem at a time, to ensure the best possible footage. Each person needs to book their own video package. We offer both Basic and Deluxe options—see details above.
Can someone fly in the plane but not jump?
Yes, it’s possible! You can have someone enjoy the flight with you to cheer you on. Please book in advance—there’s an extra charge for non-jumping passengers.
How long does the whole experience take?
Usually 2–3 hours, depending on the group size. If you’re on a schedule, let us know—we’ll do our best to have you back in town on time.
How far in advance should I book?
By phone book 1–2 days in advance. By email please book at least one week in advance.
